"Nuggling" aka Snuggling Ava
Our crazy cats
Fuzzy when he's fuzzy

Running in the Fall (True story)
Lazy Sundays, drinking coffee, nuggling Ava after having eaten bacon and had wine and Thai food last night while still in bed playing on Pintrest.

I'm happy.

I am taking a hiatus from maintaining a family blog, personal blog and working on a professional blog with a colleague as a content expert. If you check in on this blog, you will find updates about all things Todd, Tara and Ava at...

Ava: I'm going to be tall when I grow up.
Me: Really?
A: Yep, both my dad's are tall so I'm going to be tall.
Me: Actually... nevermind.

Ava: Mom, that is so abstract!
Me: What?
Ava: It's like that painting we were looking at. Do I need to explain abstract to you?

Ava: Mom, when we grow up, we should be Sam and Cat.
Me: I am grown up.
Ava: No you're not. You're tiny.
Me: I'm a grown up.
Ava: Whatever, let's be Sam and Cat.
Me: Fine, I'm Sam.
Ava: I'm Sam.
Me: Whatever, you wear pink ALL THE TIME.
Ava: No I don't, Chrissie makes me!!
Me: Um, okay, your room is pink, you chose a pink outfit for the first day of school...
Ava: Sam likes pink!
Me: No, she doesn't.
Ava: You're short.
Me: What?!?!?
Ava: You're short. I win.

What a wonderful weekend! Just goes to show you that a wedding doesn't make a marriage and a lack of official vows, do not lessen two families having already joined. Todd, Ava and I may not make it "official" anytime soon, however anytime the three of us are together it is exactly what "home" feels like and this weekend was even better as we hung out with Niki and Bill and Ma Duck and celebrated Lily turning 7 with her brother Will.

I love Fuzzy's family and from day one have felt at home with them. This weekend we kicked off our shoes and spent time together playing in arcades and swimming.

We came home today and back to reality. Ma Duck had nothing but compliments for our new house, however this just lit another fire under my @$$ to keep working on my design ideas for our house...which leads me to the realization that I have really expensive taste... which is going to postpone the wedding further into the future than what our friends and family would prefer.

Ah well... it's just $$$.

Love them

I love the joy that is in our home. I love that we are raising such a happy beautiful and compassionate child.

I feel blessed.
